Maplebeck

Mentioned as the town in which Dracula made his first English visit, Whitby has a fascinating and intriguing past. Adding to its dramatic splendour, Whitby is dominated by the cliff-top ruins of the beautiful Whitby abbey, built in the 13th Century. This traditional maritime town, with its old cobbled streets, picturesque houses and sandy blue-flag beach is a great place for a holiday or short break. Whitby is set amongst some of the finest stretches of Yorkshire coast, with spectacular cliffs, beaches and bays. A selection of diverse attractions includes the Captain Cook Memorial Museum Victorian Jet Works, the Dracula Experience, Pannett Park and Whitby Museum, with cabinets of curiosities from geology to jet carving, birdlife to bygones and costumes to clocks.

Situated within easy reach of picturesque attractions, such as Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough, this cottage can accommodate groups of family or friends of up to five people in comfort.

This property is part of a terrace of traditional Yorkshire houses, built from red brick and sitting on the banks of the River Esk. Two bedrooms offer enough accommodation to sleep up to five people and the living area is arranged in an open-plan fashion. There is plenty of space downstairs, with a spacious dining room, sitting room and a well-equipped kitchen. French windows open onto a private patio and there is also a balcony on the first floor, offering stunning views of the Esk. Visitors have access to a shared lawned garden and, in the colder months, the cottage warmed by central-heating throughout. A wonderful property at any time of year.

Full gas central heating throughout. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD, stereo/CD player/radio etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair available. Off road parking for 2 cars. Shared lawned garden and private patio area with garden furniture. Balcony with furniture.
