Knayton House Cottage

On a small hillside on the edge of the Vale of York, quietly nestling between the Hambleton Hills to the east and the Yorkshire Dales to the west, is the peaceful village of Knayton. This lovely village; built around a traditional village green - boasts an excellent local pub and good walking and cycling opportunities through the beautiful surrounding countryside. The market town of Northallerton is just seven miles away and offers excellent shops as well as a weekly market. To the south, Thirsk is just five miles away and also boasts a market square and a maze of quaint alleyways, packed with cosy teashops and lovely little delicatessens. The cathedral cities of York and Ripon are within driving distance, and offer more cosmopolitan activities.

With a spacious country kitchen, bathroom with roll-top bath and lounge with exposed beams and a wood-burning stove, the property is able to sleep four people in one double room and one twin with adjacent dressing room.

Nestled in a quiet position in the peaceful village of Knayton, this charming stone-built, semi-detached cottage is just five miles from the market town of Thirsk. Formerly part of a larger Georgian house, this wonderful little cottage manages to seamlessly combine period features with practical, modern accommodation and has been furnished to a very high standard. The cottage comes with small, enclosed front and rear gardens - ideal for outdoor dining; however, for activities such as ball games, the house is only a few yards from the traditional village green.

Oil central heating with additional heating from woodburner in sitting room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD, radio/CD player etc. Small library of books/games/DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack of fuel for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking for two cars on quiet road. Enclosed front and rear gardens with garden furniture and BBQ. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Shop 5 miles, pub 1 min walk.
