Bronte

The city of York is a wonderful place, with a huge array of activities. Once known as Jorvik, this vibrant town was a major Viking centre of commerce and boasts a huge selection of architecture from a variety of historical periods. From the city walls to the charming shopping street known as The Shambles, York has something for everybody. There are various cruises available down the river Ouse and visitors can enjoy the National Railway Museum, the Castle Museum and Bettys Tea Rooms, home of Yorkshire Tea and an incredibly unique mirror from the Second World War on which service men visiting the cafe could write their names with a diamond-tipped pen. Further afield are the Yorkshire Dales and Moors as well as the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, making this an incredibly diverse destination.

Able to sleep up to four people in one double and one twin bedroom, this property is set in the lovely, tranquil countryside just five miles from York, and is composed of a fitted kitchen with dining area and a wonderful lounge with feature fireplace and electric-fire insert.

This traditionally built brick semi-detached property is one of 14 cottages within Claxton Grange. Set between historic York, the picturesque Dales and the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, this location has a little something to offer everyone.
