Thief Hole Cottage

Situated between the historic towns of Thirsk and Northallerton, the peaceful village of Thornton le Moor is located at the foot of a ridge dividing two river basin areas - the Wiske and the Cod Beck. As part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Vale of York, this little village is perfectly placed for access to both the Hambleton Hills and the Yorkshire Dales. The Black Swan pub is located within the village and serves both fine ales and excellent food whilst for a little variation, the market town of Northallerton offers excellent shops and a weekly market. Nearby Thirsk boasts a famous racecourse in addition to a cobbled market square and quaint alleyways whilst the cathedral cities of York and Ripon are also within easy reach.
