Whitby, North Yorkshire
Whitby is famous for many things including being the inspiration for Bram Stokers Dracula, the residing place of the great Captain Cook, its lovely harbour and quaint winding streets and most importantly for having the best fish and chips in the world.
As you approach Whitby, its cliffside is dominated by the magical Whitby Abbey whos ruins grace the skyline and can be approached by its famous 199 steps. There are many quaint shops selling lovely gifts including Whitby Jet and many cafes and restaurants. Whitby also offers museums, stately homes and lovely walks.
Whitby is also located close to many other beautiful beaches and bays such as Sandsend and Robin Hoods Bay and is not far from the wonderful North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Travel Whitby -
Train: Arriva Trains run to and from Whitby through many villages direct to Middlesbrough.
Bus: The Yorkshire Coastliner has regular services running to and from Whitby towards York and Leeds. Arriva Buses run towards Scarborough and Middlesbrough. All timetables and information can be found on their websites.
