Thorpe Lodge Bed and Breakfast - Ripon

Thorpe Lodge is an elegant listed Georgian house situated two miles south of Ripon offering beautiful accommodation for a luxurious and relaxing stay.

The colourful rooms are full of antiques, masses of pictures, ornaments and comfortable soft furniture, with the guest rooms being very well appointed, large and full of light.

Twelve acres of beautiful gardens and woodland have been created over the past twenty years, mixing natural, country and formal styles. Explore the spectacular borders, the walled garden with its wonderful roses and the hornbeam walk. From the first snowdrops in January through the daffodils and bluebells in the spring through beds ablaze with colour throughout summer and autumn, the garden is a constant joy.

Below is a description of the guest bedrooms and what they have to offer:

The Yellow Room is one of two large guest bedrooms in the South Wing. Juliet the owner has put to good use all her years of interior design experience for top hotels, and both rooms have every imaginable comfort. They offer seating areas with televison, video, hot drinks tray and a sizeable desk.

The Green Room like the yellow room has its own attractive en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Both rooms can be arranged as a twin room or as a king sized double, and are furnished and decorated to make guests feel comfortable and at home.

While guests are requested not to smoke in the bedrooms there is a private sitting room, with a television, where cigarettes can be enjoyed in peace. There are plenty of books and videos available for your enjoyment, or perhaps take a dive into the fantastic swimming pool, weather permitting.

After a relaxing night's sleep, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast from simple to full English which is served in the sunroom during summer. A sumptuous dinner can also be provided at Thope Lodge by prior arrangement.
