Ryedale Vineyards B&B, Westow near York
Ryedale Vineyards B&B offers a unique visitor experience. Enjoy staying on a vineyard in the North of England, and visit some of the many and diverse attractions this region has to offer. Situated at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds in the heart of the countryside, yet only about 12 miles from the historic walled city of York, with a convenient, simple journey to the local Park and Ride.
There are two beautifully decorated rooms on offer as described below:
The Attic Suite
Decorated in neutral colours with splashes of colour for a natural ‘country’ feel, and with tweed throws woven on a traditional loom in Pennine Yorkshire. Double bed available, also with a single so can be used as twin (not triple occupancy). Private shower room across landing, two armchairs, Freeview TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.
The Vine Room
The Vine room - so called because the colour scheme of delicate and soft shades of greens and purples takes inspiration from colours found in a vineyard setting. Offering a double bed with en-suite shower room, Freeview TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
After a relaxing nights sleep why not enjoy a delicious breakfast. All guests are served in the farmhouse dining room which has been decorated and furnished in a style appropriate to the period and character of the house. In providing breakfasts for our guests we use only the best available British and, wherever possible, local produce. Making use of local produce means that the food that we serve not only has the genuine taste of the countryside, but also that it hasn’t travelled a great many supermarket air miles to get to the farmhouse kitchen.
It also means that our menus will vary according to the season and the availability of produce. In order to give you an idea of the style of our breakfasts at the farmhouse, here is a typical sample menu:
Fruit juice, fruit and cereals are available for guests to help themselves
Full English Breakfast - Bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, eggs ~ fried, poached or scrambled
Scrambled egg and smoked salmon
Baked smoked haddock with a poached egg
Baked eggs with mozzarella cheese
Toast or bread
Tea or coffee
The honey we serve is from beehives on our vineyard and our wonderful jams and marmalades are made by my 80 year old Mum!!
