The cottage offers an ideal base for couples wanting to get away from the stress of city life. The bedroom is luxuriously appointed whilst retaining original features with hand waxed and polished antique furniture, a king size bed and bathrobes for use during your stay.
The galleried landing area is primarily designed as a chill out area with a selection of games and DVDs. There is a flat screen TV with ipod dock DVD and Free view there is also a Hi-Fi with digital radio. This area also has a double futon which can accomodate an additional guest by arrangement.
The lounge diner can comfortably seat four people and has an open living flame gas fire. There is also a flat screen TV with free view and DVD player.
The fully equipped kitchen has fridge freezer and washer/dryer housed in original cupboards. There is a dishwasher and everything you need to cook a meal if you wish to do so.
If you like a more active break there is a secure store for bikes or walking equipment and the garden is perfect for a relaxing drink to unwind or recover. There is also a parking space available for one car.
There are many local restaurants and takeaways all within walking distance with sample menus for your convenience, a number of the takeaways provide a delivery sevice if you don't want to venture out. There are also leaflets provided with details of local attractions. Pickering hosts many events throughout the year including a Steam Rally and the War Weekend in October
