Burnharbour Cottage, Robin Hoods Bay

Burnharbour Cottage, an 18th century Grade II listed fisherman’s cottage, now converted to a holiday cottage located in Robin Hood’s Bay, and has been tastefully refurbished to provide a welcoming, warm and cosy holiday home all the year round.

The two bedroomed cottage has full gas central heating, a modern bathroom with bath and shower, a kitchen with fridge, microwave and cooker, and a lounge area with tv/dvd.  The first floor bedroom is spacious with a double bed, handbasin and tv.  The second floor bedroom is pine panelled and has two single beds.

The cottage has a small outside seating area with table and chairs and it would be appreciated if any smokers could use this facility.

All gas and electric costs are included in the cost of your stay and all bed linen is provided.  The only items you need to bring are personal towels. We can also provide a highchair and baby changing mat upon request.

The cottage is a two minutes walk from the beach (or a one minute run for excited children and dogs!) It is also less than two minutes walk (or one minute run for excited grown ups!) from three wonderful, friendly and traditional pubs - The Laurel, The Dolphin and The Bay. There are also two pubs with catering facilities at the top of the bank - The Grosvenor and The Victoria.

Robin Hood’s Bay is acknowledged to be one of the most picturesque and unspoilt fishing villages in the country, it is steeped in history and there are many fascinating anecdotes of smuggling and secret passageways. Robin Hood’s Bay boasts many and varied walks - the old railway track; the beach to Boggle Hole and beyond; the famous Coast to Coast path (which ends at Robin Hood’s Bay) and the Cleveland Way.

Both Whitby and Scarborough are within easy reach and the bus connections are extremely good.  There are two car parks upbank and long stay parking tickets are available from the General Store/Post Office.  These tickets are valid for all Scarborough DC car parks.  There is also car parking available in a private car park downbank at Fisherhead - tickets are available from the Muir Lea Stores and the Old Drapery.
