Bumblewick Cottages, Sleights, North Yorkshire
Passing over the moors from Pickering, you drop into the lovely village of Sleights. A right turn by the Church leads you into the valley bottom, and Iburndale, one of the oldest settlements in this area. The village has a quiet hamlet appearance and is only four miles from traditional Whitby.
Bumblewick Cottages have three seperate cottages available in Sleights offering accommodation from two to four people in an ideal location. All cottages are appointed to a very high standard and enjoy all the conveniences you would expect from a modern holiday cottage. Below are descriptions of each cottage and what they have to offer:
Owl Cottage
Situated over the stream and bridge in Iburndale, Owl Cottage has all the charm of an age gone by, but also the facilities expected in quality accommodation. There are two bedrooms available, all with pleasant aspects, offering accommodation for four people. It offers a fully equipped kitchen for your stay with a shower room leading off, and a lovely lounge area for everyone to relax after a day of exploring.
Outside there is ample car parking on the site and sheltered rear garden.
Wren Cottage
Facing the lovely stream in Iburndale is the beautiful Wren Cottage. Offering accommodation for two to four people Wren Cottage is one of the older houses in the village and has all the charm and character you would expect of a cosy cottage. Offering lounge, well equipped characterful but modern Kitchen with utility room and separate WC. On the first floor there is a large bedroom to the front of the house and separate Bathroom and WC.
Outside there is car parking within 20 metres and a pleasant and established rear garden.
Blackbird Cottage
This lovely stone built cottage sits at the end of a short row of characterful cottages on a quiet lane, only about 4 miles from Whitby. It is not difficult to imagine how these cottages could have been occupied years ago.
The kitchen gives access to an airy morning room and a snug lounge with log stove. There is a bathroom and two bedrooms all sharing a similar charming appearance.
Outside there is a sheltered enclosed garden and private seating area. There is parking for a car on-site.
All Cottages allow pets and have ample parking facilities.
